The Great Hillbilly Shootout
Howdy ! I would like to invite you to “The Great Hillbilly Shootout”.
The Levisa Fork Lead Slingers and the Lonesome Pine Pistoleros have possed up to host this event which will be held during the Hillbilly Days Festival on Saturday, April 17th 2010. The main match will consist of 6 stages of fire, with the scenarios based on the Hatfield and McCoy feud written by world famous champion shootist Cherokee Big Dog sass#17531. In the afternoon we plan on having a 3 stage Wild Bunch match and if we have enough cowpokes interested some side matches after that.
The match will be held at the East Kentucky Sportsman Association Range located on the Pike County Airport access road KY-3218, turn off US23 at red light beside the Nissan dealership. Pikeville KY.
While you are here enjoy the festivities and craziness of Hillbilly Days on Thursday, Friday & Saturday April 15, 16, and 17, 2010 and bring the family! There is something for everyone with hundreds of food and craft booths, a huge carnival, and music throughout the town. Y'all will be assured of having three days of outrageous fun and food, with some Cowboy Action Shooting on Saturday!
The Hillbilly Days Festival brings over 100,000+ people to our town, transforming it into a bustling place where everyone can enjoy spectacular scenery and celebrate our unique Appalachian heritage and culture.
Our festival is unique in that the main purpose of the festivities is to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
